Event Details

A two-time Grammy award-winning artist and recipient of the Magic Penny Award from the Children's Music Network, Bill's work has influenced a generation of children, parents, performing artists and educators. Bill's songs are joyous, direct and honest, his stories are filled with the details of daily life - all told and sung from his slightly off-center point of view. Bill's trademark wit and wisdom can also be found in his picture books and novels for children. In the car, the classroom, at home or on stage, "no one beats Harley for intelligent, polished children's entertainment - he's simply the best." Mothering Magazine. Sponsored by Barnes & Thornburg

Storytelling Arts of Indiana

Storytelling Arts of Indiana was originally founded as Stories, Inc. in 1987. Since then, it has grown by leaps and bounds, but our mission remains the same: to promote the art and use of storytelling in everyday life. From local favorites to nationally-recognized names, Storytelling Arts has brought tellers from all walks of life to Hoosier audiences for over two decades. In addition to the full schedule of storytelling concerts, Storytelling Arts of Indiana also provides:

  • Weekly storytelling at Riley Children’s Hospital
  • Monthly as I Recall Storytelling Guild meetings at the Glendale Branch Library, Indianapolis Senior Center and the Hancock County Public Library.
  • Monthly Jabberwocky after-work events in collaboration with IndyFringe
  • Summer Performances in the Neighborhood Parks for children
  • A workshop for teachers, Using Storytelling as an Educational Tool: Teaching English/Language State standards through Storytelling Activities
